About the College/Department
The University Libraries system is comprised of David W. Mullins (main) Library, the Physics Library, the Chemistry and Biochemistry Library, the Fine Arts Library, and the Robert A. and Vivian Young Law Library. Combined holdings number over 2 million volumes. The libraries participate in the Greater Western Library Alliance, the Center for Research Libraries, and other state and national consortia. Library personnel ( FTE ) include 59 faculty and professional staff, 67 support staff, and 27 student assistants.

Summary of Job Duties
This position serves as the evening supervisor of the Fine Arts Library, functioning as the lead worker of hourly personnel in the absence of the supervisor and the department head. Processes course reserves. Provides public service to patrons. Processes new materials, generates statistics, and assists with special projects. Maintains the collection. Reports to the Fine Arts Library Supervisor.

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least two years of experience in library services

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Relevant library experience
  • Experience with bibliographic databases, library catalogs, and the circulation and reserves modules of an integrated library system, preferably Sierra
  • Experience with processing and maintaining printed and digital materials for course reserves
  • Relevant education or work experience in the fine arts or related disciplines
  • Experience with online training materials or course management software, preferably Blackboard
  • Experience with social media
