Job Description Summary

The Department of Political Science at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 16, 2018. We seek excellent candidates that can complement the strengths of our department. The call is open to candidates in all areas and sub-fields of International Relations broadly construed. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong command of international relations theory, conduct research, mentor graduate students, and teach undergraduate and graduate level classes, including the university's core course, Global Politics and Issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in Political Science by the start date for the rank of Assistant Professor; however, ABDs will be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally during employment; excellent communication skills are required.
