The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and ARUP Laboratories are seeking applicants with the skills and interest to develop a strong academic career focused on clinical chemistry. The successful applicant will have experience in clinical assay development and validation, quality control and quality assurance, interpretation of laboratory test results, and consultation with physicians and other health care providers. Expertise with immunoassay, esoteric / specialty chemistry testing, and maternal serum screening is highly desirable.

Applicants require a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree. PhD candidates should be board certified or eligible by ABCC . MD candidates should be board certified or eligible in clinical pathology by ABP . The successful candidate will have clinical and administrative responsibilities in the Chemistry Division of ARUP Laboratories and he/she will be expected to contribute to our research and teaching missions. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
