Asst. / Assoc. Professor, Human Resources

Full/Part Time Status:Full Time Service Schedule:Academic Year

Position Description:

A tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Human Resource Management is available to begin in August 2018. The successful candidate's primary teaching responsibilities will be courses in human resource management, staffing, training and organizational management for undergraduate management students and HR majors along with an HR MBA class. Applicants who are seeking a balance in teaching/research responsibilities will find a collegial work environment and a faculty actively engaged and committed to the growth and continuous improvement of the HR program. Rank dependent on qualifications and experience.

Education Requirements:

Ph.D. in HR or a related discipline (including I/O Psychology) from a nationally or internationally-recognized doctoral program required. ABDs are welcome to apply with an expected degree completion date by August 2018.

Required Qualifications:

Additional requirements include a record of excellence in teaching; demonstrated ability to publish research in quality management journals; and demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of HR-related work experience; evidence of ability to create an engaged and applied classroom environment; evidence of ability to advance the academic, professional and personal success of students; and ability to teach HR analytics.
