Job Summary

Reporting to the senior vice president for communications and public affairs, the executive director is responsible for managing the College's communications and marketing programs, including digital and print publications and tools, design and branding, news, and media relations. The executive director will supervise and provide exceptional leadership to the staff in the Office of Communications and Public Affairs in order to achieve departmental objectives and deliver upon the College's mission.

Education/Skills Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related discipline required; graduate degree preferred. Demonstrated excellence leading innovation in the development and use of digital communications and marketing tools and technologies, and the appropriate and effective content. Exceptional people manager with a strong emphasis on developing, coaching, and mentoring future communication leaders.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

Passionate communications professional with at least ten years of experience managing or leading communications within a mid- to large-size organization. Demonstrated excellence leading innovation in the development and use of digital communications and marketing tools and technologies, and the appropriate and effective content.

Standard Work Days and Hours

8:30 am to 5:00 pm or as scheduled with supervisor. This is a full time exempt position requiring time commitment necessary to satisfactorily complete job requirements. Occasional out of state travel may be required.
