REGIONAL LEAD

Job Description: The Regional Lead manages the delivery of mentoring and evaluation services in assigned geographic regions and serve as part of the Leadership Team. Responsibilities include supporting and supervising mentor/evaluators in their assigned geographical region (both partner and paid ECU-EESLPD staff), assist Lead Coordinator in assigning classroom teachers in their region to mentors and/or evaluators, participate in leadership meetings with Lead Coordinator and holding regional meetings to disseminate information and provide training, taking a lead in the development and delivery of training, recruiting new partner mentor/evaluators, and serving a caseload of teachers with mentoring and evaluation services and, therefore, meeting all required duties of the ECU-EESLPD Mentor-Evaluator. This position will report directly to the Project Lead Coordinator in the ECU EESLPD program office. The position will be contracted on a yearly basis and is contingent on funding.


Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in education with a concentration in early childhood education, child development, human development/family studies, special education (early intervention/preschool). Equivalent education, experience and NC Education License may be considered. A minimum of 3 years of progressive, successful experience as an early childhood leader at local, regional or state-level, including experience as a mentor, evaluator and/or trainer for the EESLPD Office. North Carolina Birth-through-Kindergarten (BK) or Preschool Add-on Standard Professional II License is required. Teamwork is essential to this position.
