Summary of Job Duties
The Teacher Development Manager ( TDM ) (Arkansas Teacher Corps) monitors the teacher training and individual progress of Fellows enrolled in the Arkansas Teacher Corps program and performs related organizational and communication tasks.
The TDM travels to school districts across Arkansas for weekly observations of teachers and provides coaching to Fellows at their school placements. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Earned bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of two years K-12 teaching experience
  • Demonstration of instructional effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years teaching experience in a low-income or rural area
  • A minimum of two years secondary-level (middle, junior high, or high school) teaching experience

  • Experience training, developing, and/or supporting beginning teachers
  • Experience developing a training program or curriculum
  • A valid Arkansas teaching license

  • Ability to drive long distances on a weekly basis
