University of Utah Asia Campus Open Rank Faculty for Biology located in South Korea.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach Human Biology and other introductory biology courses that serve as electives to non-science majors. In addition to teaching, all faculty members are responsible for both scholarly research in their field and service to the University. Experience teaching in an active learning environment and using current technology in courses should be highlighted in the cover letter. All classes are taught in English. The teaching load varies, but the successful candidate should expect to teach at least 3 courses per semester.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in biology or a related field. Course development and curriculum design experience is desirable.

Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience. All full-time employees are provided a health benefit plan. Housing is provided for UAC employees with an E-1 Korean Visa. Some personal and professional travel expenses are provided by the UAC .

Note: This 12-month position requires relocation to South Korea. As a condition of employment, a successful candidate must be able to get a valid work visa for South Korea.
Location: This position is located at the University of Utah Asia Campus ( UAC ) in Incheon (Songdo area), South Korea (http://songdoibd.com/). Along with Ghent University, George Mason University, and Stony Brook University ( SUNY ), the University of Utah is one of the founding institutions of Incheon Global Campus ( IGC ). All students spend three years studying at the UAC in South Korea and one year studying in Salt Lake City. All graduating students at the UAC receive a University of Utah degree. Currently, The UAC offers four undergraduate majors in communication, psychology, film and media arts, and urban ecology and three graduate programs in public health, global J.D. and biomedical informatics.
