Position Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology seeks one or more adjunct instructors to teach "Community Corrections" and "Women, Crime, and Society" courses. Community Corrections is a sophomore-level course designed to help students understand the range of options provided as alternatives to incarceration in the criminal justice system. Women, Crime, and Society is senior-level course exploring women as victims, offenders, practitioners, and professionals in the criminal justice system. Both courses will be offered in-person (online teaching formats are not available).

Education Requirements:

Applicants must have earned Master's or Doctoral degree in criminology or related field by time of appointment.

Required Qualifications:

Professional experience and / or prior teaching in criminal justice required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with previous college-level teaching experience.
