POOL - Lecturer



Position Overview

KU Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department invites candidates to submit applications, which will be reviewed and placed in a pool for consideration as openings arise. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and appointments will be made as needed. Please be advised that the need for lecturers varies from year to year. Amount of work required can vary by position and will range in FTE.

Teach course(s) in the department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies in the School of Education.

Teach course(s) in Education Administration (K-12), Higher Education Administration or Social and Cultural Studies in education.

The successful applicant must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins.



Job Description

40% - Develop assignments, administer tests, evaluate student work, provide feedback to students, and assign grades

40% - Provide instruction throughout the semester

20% - Plan and organize the course, including syllabus preparation, textbook selection, etc.


Required Qualifications

Earned doctoral or terminal degree in Education or other field appropriate to subject area being taught


Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior teaching or administrative experience in K-12 or higher education experience
2. Earned doctoral degree in education
