The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Utah has an immediate opening for a Health Services Researcher. This is an incredible opportunity to join a collegial academic environment and to collaborate with an outstanding group of clinical researchers, clinicians and health system leaders to effect meaningful change in care delivery.

The Health Services Researcher will collaborate with clinical researchers, clinicians and health system leaders to effect meaningful change in care delivery. The research focus will be on the understanding how people access healthcare, how much care costs, and how care delivery impacts patients. We are particularly interested in individuals with interests in patient reported outcomes, health services delivery, and advanced methodologies for observational studies. The Researcher will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic integrated clinical faculty in the Pediatric Cardiology Heart Center and colleagues with similar interests in health services research.

Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D.; research expertise in Population Health, Health Services and Comparative Effectiveness Research or other relevant disciplines; a track record of high impact peer-reviewed publications and extramural grant funding; and an established or emerging record of academic excellence in Health Services Research. Experience in the field of Clinical Epidemiology is strongly preferred. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Research or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications, and will also be given an Adjunct faculty appointment in the Department of Population Health Sciences.
