Assistant Director of Admissions, Law School


Title: Assistant Director of Admissions

Job Description:

This position reports to the Assistant Dean for Admissions in the Law School. This position is primarily responsible for student recruitment and housing, as well as providing students with counseling and guidance regarding the financial aid and admissions process.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment: Participate in all student recruitment functions, including college fairs and forums at colleges and universities throughout the country. Coordinate and assist student orientations. Assist and coordinate various recruitment events. Responsible for making all travel arrangements.
  • Financial Aid Counseling: Assist students with the financial aid process and act as liaison to the Financial Aid Office. Requires knowledge of the financial aid process.
  • Admissions Counseling: Assist prospects and applicants with the admissions process. Requires knowledge of the law school admissions process. Contact and interface with prospects, applicants, and parents.


Qualifications:
  • J.D., professional or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of at least three years' admissions experience in higher education (preferably at a law school)
  • Possess excellent oral, written and technological skills (preferably experience in Banner system, Aces, Access database).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of financial aid processes a plus.
  • Extensive travel required (local and out-of-state) during the fall recruitment season.
  • Occasional weekend and evening hours required.
  • Driver's license required.
