Musculoskeletal Radiologist
Department of Radiology, University of Utah

The Department of Radiology, University of Utah is seeking a junior musculoskeletal radiologist who is interested in developing an academic career in our expanding Musculoskeletal Radiology ( MSK ) section of the Department of Radiology. The candidate should be MSK fellowship-trained and have experience in all aspects of MSK radiology. Outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills as well as evidence of significant academic work, such as journal publications in the field of MSK radiology, are a prerequisite. MSK faculty members are expected to provide diagnostic and procedural services; participate in general faculty and MSK call pools; actively engage in teaching for diagnostic radiology residents and MSK fellows; and initiate or collaborate in research projects. It is expected that this individual will contribute to a collegial environment that will promote the growth of the section. The academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The MSK section provides clinical services at the University Hospital, University Orthopaedic Center, VA medical center, and Huntsman Cancer Institute, an NCI -designated premier cancer center. There is the potential for expanding coverage to an outpatient center. The Department offers an outstanding residency program in Diagnostic Radiology and an excellent MSK fellowship program. Extensive imaging resources, including multiple MRI and PET -CT scanners, are available for research. The Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research ( UCAIR ) in the Department offers international expertise in imaging sciences.
