This is an incredible opportunity to join a collegial academic environment and work in a children's hospital ranked as one of the best in the US. The Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Utah School of Medicine is recruiting a Pediatric Hematologist. The provider will provide clinical patient care services to patients with cancer and blood disorders focusing on benign hematology, bleeding disorders and hemophilia. The provider will participate in a multidisciplinary Hemophilia treatment center and clinic and manage care of patients in the outpatient clinic and inpatient unit. There is an opportunity to participate in clinical and translational research projects and to implement clinical trials. Clinical activities will be carried out at Primary Children's Hospital, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Service Line outpatient and inpatient units. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work, including education, investigation, administration as well as advocacy.

The Pediatric Hematologist will collaborate with an outstanding group of pediatric hematologists/oncologists as well as pediatric orthopedic surgeons, pediatric BMT program, and the adult hematology programs which include active clinical and basic research programs. In addition, interactions with social workers, physical therapists, neuropsychologists, advanced practitioners and basic scientists will be an important part of this role.

Qualified candidates must be Board Qualified/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology with focused training in pediatric hematology, hemophilia and thrombophilia. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
