Research Associate II (Composite Materials Engineer) - Univ. of Delaware (Newark, DE): Perform interdisciplinary research to develop rapid manufacturing of complex geometry composite structures (doubly curved) and manufacturing techniques for high performance carbon fiber orthotics, and perform material, sub-component and component mechanical testing and qualification for same, using 3 years' experience with manufacturing of carbon fiber orthotic devices to include 2 years' experience with composite manufacturing techniques (autoclave, compression molding, RTM and VARTM) and composite mechanical testing employing ASTM standards, sample preparation, data reduction methods and writing test reports. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Composite Materials Engineering or a related field, and background checks.
