Job Summary:
The Administrative Coordinator serves as a primary support specialist for the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs which includes: greeting visitors; answering phones; managing correspondence and filing; scheduling appointments and group meetings. The person in this position provides support for the Upperclass Deans, the Director of Accommodations for Students with Disabilities and the Advisor to the Judicial Board. The Administrative Coordinator provides support for a number of key programs and initiatives, including: the Judicial Board, the work of the Recording Committee, and support for the College's academic advising programs, among other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; some college coursework preferred. Applicants must possess excellent organizational and customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and to understand complex and diverse cultures, and the ability to multitask in a busy office environment. Strong keyboarding skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are required. Experience utilizing web content management and willingness to learn a number of technology platforms is preferred. A clear understanding for the needs of confidentiality in dealing with students, faculty and staff is necessary.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents:
A minimum of two years experience working in a busy office environment is required; experience working in a college setting is preferred.

Standard Work Days and Hours:
Weekdays, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Occasional requests for weekend assistance during Orientation and Commencement or at other key times of the year.
