A minimum of seven years of increasing responsibility in education administration is required, preferably in an admissions-related field. Must have superior communication, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as supervisory experience in facilitating organizational development and change; competency for analyzing recruitment related data and assessing programming activities; an understanding, and appreciation, of the innovative uses of technology in the recruitment process; and proven success and commitment to building a diverse community. The successful candidate must have the ability to serve as an articulate spokesperson for the mission and values of the institution, and be a partner to campus in carrying out that mission.

Position Summary:

The Director of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-Madison) will have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of the University. We are seeking an established professional with energy and vision to serve on a progressive enrollment management leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing the UW-Madison record for improving the University academic profile as well as the geographic, ethnic and socio-economic diversity of its first year and transfer entering classes. This position reports to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management (VPEM).

The mission of the Division of Enrollment Management is to strategically strengthen the competitiveness of UW-Madison in achieving enrollment goals and providing information and services to enhance student success. We are committed to the highest standard of service for our students, colleagues, visitors and other customers.
