Community College Leadership -- Assistant/Associate Professor

The Community College Leadership ( CCL ) Ph.D. Program at Old Dominion University invites applications for an Assistant / Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership.
The successful candidate who will ultimately fill this 10-month, academic year position will join a faculty dedicated to preparing the next generation of executive-level leaders ready to meet critical U.S. community college leadership pipeline needs. Successful candidates will have opportunities to contribute to the growth of a high-quality Community College Leadership doctoral program at a research-intensive university with a well-established national reputation for academically rigorous leadership preparation.
Responsibilities of the Position: Successful candidates will be expected to (1) publish refereed publications and books; (2) teach face-to-face and live-video online courses in the Community College Leadership doctoral program and, as needed, in the Higher Education master's and doctoral programs; (3) advise students, including chairing and/or serving on dissertation committees; and (4) work with state and national community college leaders to increase the number of well-qualified individuals in the community college leadership pipeline.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
A record of publication, commensurate with rank, in peer reviewed journals.
the ability to assume doctoral-level teaching and advising responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
A conferred doctorate from a regionally accredited university in Community College Leadership, Higher Education, or a related field at time of application;

Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification

Preferred Qualifications
We encourage individuals with strong professional credentials in one or more of the following areas to apply: community college finance, resource management, community college internationalization, and/or workforce development to apply.
