The Medical Laboratory Science Division, Department of Pathology, University of Utah School of Medicine, invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track position beginning July 1, 2017. Primary responsibilities include teaching clinical hematology, hemostasis, and possible other courses in a NAACLS accredited Bachelor of Science program. The successful candidate will participate in program and curriculum development, interact with clinical training sites, recruit and advise undergraduate students, and engage in research or other scholarly activity. There is opportunity for administrative responsibilities in the Medical Laboratory Science Division. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must be certified as an MT or MLS CM, possess a Ph.D. degree (preferred) or M.S., have a minimum of 2 years clinical hematology or directly related experience, and have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have college or clinical teaching experience, demonstrated scholarly productivity and a record of active participation in professional societies.
