The Division of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Utah School of Medicine, has an immediate opening for an academic Pediatric Physiatrist to join our growing inpatient and ambulatory care programs. The Pediatric Physiatrist will provide comprehensive, coordinated and patient/family-centered care for children with congenital and acquired conditions associated with disabilities and secondary medical conditions, including those with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disorders, congenital syndromes and musculoskeletal disorders. Strong collaborations with neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation therapists and others support our mission to optimize function and quality of life for children with disabilities and their families. Clinical responsibilities will be carried out at Primary Children's Hospital and will include teaching/practice in outpatient and inpatient settings. In addition to clinical care, there is an expectation for academic work, including education, investigation, administration and advocacy.

Qualified candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree; and must be Board Qualified/Board Certified in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, or in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, or in other related specialty with comparable training. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment on the Clinical or Tenure track in the Department of Pediatrics. Rank will be dependent on qualifications.
