Neuro Interventional Radiologist
Department of Radiology, University of Utah

The University of Utah Department of Radiology is seeking applicants for a faculty position in Neuro Interventional Radiology. This individual is expected to advance the field of Neuro Interventional Radiology and promote the growth of neuro interventional practice in close collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery. The candidate should have completed a neuro interventional fellowship or equivalent training. Outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills as well as evidence of prior academic work are a prerequisite. Faculty members are expected to provide neuro interventional services; actively engage in teaching for residents and fellows; initiate or collaborate in clinical and research projects; and participate in the department leadership. The rank of the academic appointment will be commensurate with prior experience and academic achievements. The position is full time with full benefits.

Neuro interventional radiology provides clinical services at the Clinical Neuroscience Center, University Hospital, VA medical center, and Huntsman Cancer Institute, an NCI -designated premier cancer center. There is the potential for expanding coverage to outpatient centers. The Neuro Interventional Radiology faculty member will join a vibrant Neuroradiology Section with a commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and scholarly activity. The Radiology Department offers an outstanding neuroradiology fellowship program and residency program in Diagnostic Radiology. Extensive imaging resources, including multiple MRIs, intraoperative MRI , and PET -CT scanners, are available for clinical work and research. The Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research ( UCAIR ) in the Department offers international expertise in imaging sciences.
