The Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies at the University of Utah and the Huntsman Cancer Institute are seeking to recruit clinical track faculty, rank dependent upon qualifications. The Division currently has 24 full time Faculty members engaged in several subspecialties, who are also engaged in a broad spectrum of clinical, translational and basic research in Hematology. We are undergoing a major expansion in our clinical programs in hematologic malignancies and expect significant growth in Bone Marrow Transplant and Multiple Myeloma, but applicants with interests in all Hematologic subspecialties are invited to apply.

The University of Utah and the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the only NCI -designated Cancer Center in the Intermountain West, provide an excellent research environment. State of the art resources are available on site spanning from world-class transgenic facilities, genome-wide scanning technologies to drug development platforms, pharmacology and toxicology. The scientific environment in the Division and the wider University is vibrant and extremely collaborative. A new transplant/leukemia unit opened in the Fall of 2011, which brought all adult Hematology and Hematologic inpatient and outpatient activity into the same facility. All clinical facilities are in close physical proximity to laboratories in the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

The mission of the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies is to provide state of the art diagnostics and treatment in an environment of compassionate care to patients with hematologic cancer. We invite applications from candidates who hold an M.D. degree with board certification in Internal Medicine and BC/BE in Hematology possessing or being eligible for a Utah Medical License. with initiative, curiosity and a dedication to a career in academia.
