Required License/Registration/Certification | Active Kentucky RN license, Temporary Work Permit ( TWP ), Provisional License or active compact state RN license that is in good standing and American Heart Association ( AHA ) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment date. NRP certifications are required within the first 18 months of employment. |
Physical Requirements | The essential functions for this position include theability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds occasionallyand 25-50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sitfor long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, andinjury from intractable patients or sharp instruments. |
Shift | Fully available 7a til 730pm and/or 7p til 730am with some weekends and holidays required. |
Job Summary | New Graduate CORE position Neonatal ICU ( NICU ).This position is for the new graduate nurse with NOCURRENT OR PREVIOUS RN WORK EXPERIENCE . Registered Nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICUor 3Neo) at Kentucky Children's Hospital provide care for critically ill newborns that require close observation and an intermediate level of specialized care. |
