Job Description: The Department of Elementary and Middle Grades Education in the College of Education at East Carolina University is seeking applications and nominations for a tenure-track, nine-month, full-time faculty position available August 2017. Rank and salary: commensurate with qualifications.

Responsibilities include teaching K-6 graduate and undergraduate students in the elementary education program in both face-to-face and on-line environments. Candidates will supervise practicum experiences and/or internships; maintain scholarly productivity; and provide service to the university, community, and profession. Preference given to candidates with academic background in and professional experience with an elementary content area.


Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include: (1) Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree, from an appropriately accredited institution in elementary education, curriculum and instruction, or related field; ABD candidates may be considered for appointment at the rank of instructor, (2) a demonstrated potential for research and scholarship, (3) three years of teaching in an elementary school setting, and (4) eligibility for North Carolina teaching licensure.
