FAMILY MEDICINE - CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (FACULTY)

Job Description: The Department of Family Medicine, Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University seeks an innovative full-time faculty member for its developing Integrated Care Program. This is a transformative department, implementing integrated, team-based care in all aspects of education, teaching, and research.

This position will function as a member of the research team in the Center for Integrated Care Delivery in the implementation and conduct of several grant-funded projects, including:

1) Prepare for Practice: Integration of Future Psychologists into Rural, Primary Healthcare Settings;
2) Innovative training to transform rural care; and
3) Healthier Lives at School and Beyond: Linking School-Based Health Centers to Expanded Resources for Care and Counseling.

As a part of these projects, This position will train and supervise graduate-level behavioral health trainees who are providing care to patients in an integrated primary care setting; contribute to the revision and restructure of a more unified, interdisciplinary curriculum across multiple professions in the primary care setting; and provide behavioral health services as a part of team-based care for underserved patients with diabetes and co-morbid disease/ behavioral challenges via a telehealth system directly into rural primary care practices at the time of the primary care visit.

This position will join other members of the Project Team within the Family Medicine Center.

This position offers the appropriate candidate the opportunity for clinical program research, model development, dedicated Family Medicine resident and clinical health psychology doctoral student teaching, and provision of clinical services within an integrated care/telehealth setting.


Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a completion of appropriate Doctoral Program (PhD) leading to current North Carolina license or eligibility as a Psychologist and Health Service Provider Psychologist, or Provisionally Licensed Psychologist in the state of North Carolina.

Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
