Job Description: The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University seeks three individuals as Clinical Instructors (Co-Chief Residents) with a fixed-term appointment to oversee 80 residents and its combined programs.

Duties required: attending the General Internal Medicine Ward Service; attending the Graduate Medical Educational Committee Meetings; maintaining the block scheduling template, attendance at the Grand Rounds, Noon Conference and Morning Report; and patient care duties.

This is a one-year appointment. Appointments from July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (VMC). VMC is the flagship hospital for Vidant Medical Group and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.


Minimum Qualifications: Medical Degree from an appropriately accredited institution.

Physicians must be able to obtain a license to practice medicine in North Carolina; be granted medical staff privileges at Vidant Medical Center; be approved to practice medicine through ECU Physicians, and receive medical liability insurance coverage through our carrier.
