Position Summary:
This paraprofessional position provides high-level administrative and program support to the Chair of the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics (AAE). AAE also provides administrative services to the University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives, Center for Dairy Profitability, Renk Agribusiness Institute, Wisconsin National Data Consortium.
This position tracks, prioritizes, organizes and completes multiple ongoing projects for the Chair in various stages of progress, is responsible for faculty related duties that include faculty evaluations, promotions, and recruitments, visiting faculty/scholar appointments, emeritus and donor.

This position also functions as the Facilities Manager of a small five-story building. Supervise physical environment and initiate building projects and repairs. Plan and manage work performed by UW physical plant shops. Serve as coordinator of the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and the Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP). Notify building occupants of proper evacuation procedures. Responsible for compliance with Fire Department regulations as well as, respond to emergency situations and report the emergency to the proper agency. Attend P&S meetings and campus-wide Facility Manager meetings. Work with P&S regarding building access, operational hours, and scheduled locking.

This position works with the departmental administrator to manage and problem-solve in many department areas, including recruitments, and assists in the development of policies, rules, and procedures and must use discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
