Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required in Social Sciences or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

One year of experience training and supervising telephone interviewers required; 3-4 years of experience preferred.

Applicants should have experience with data quality control, group and individual training in CATI interviewing, project progress monitoring, and client interaction.

Position Summary:

This position oversees a staff of ~10 Shift Leaders and ~70-200 CATI Interviewers in conjunction with two other Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) Supervisors. These staff collect academic survey research data via telephone for principal investigators at the University of Wisconsin and other universities, as well as federal, state and local not-for-profit clients. This position is responsible for hiring, training, and managing these staff. The position bridges staff and project management, with a focus on quality control. It involves a variety of duties associated with data collection for other types of survey projects as well.

The University of Wisconsin Survey Center has conducted social science survey research since 1987. In the past 30 years the UWSC has provided a broad range of high quality survey research services to our clients including questionnaire design and layout, report writing and analysis, to data collection in a variety of modes.
