Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred; If candidate has not yet attained the PMP, but meets all criteria required to do so by the Project Management Institute, the candidate must obtain their PMP certification within 6 months of hire date. Candidates for the position must have strong interest and demonstrated experience in formal project management frameworks and large-scale implementations.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of formal project management experience, and a strong track record in large-scale implementations within complex environments.

1. Previous project management experience implementing large-scale projects within a complex environment.
2. Project management expertise demonstrating the knowledge of project management tools, processes and techniques, the ability to apply project management framework to meet the project requirements and the effective behaviors and interactions to successfully implement multiple, related projects.

Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager (PM3) will report to the Project Portfolio Manager and be responsible for leading projects through the full project lifecycle for highly-visible, large, and complex projects within Finance & Administration.

Oversees the delivery of multiple large and/or complex projects and is responsible for coordinating activities of project teams and/or project managers, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
Must be familiar with project management best practices, terminologies, and standard guidelines, as well as have familiarity with a combination of project management methodologies, such as, waterfall, agile, hybrid, critical path, etc.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in assembling project teams, identifying key stakeholders, leading stakeholder management, producing project artifacts, capturing and managing project risks, action items, issues, and key decisions throughout the project lifecycle, providing status reports, and assisting in development of the strategy and roadmap for full project implementation.

The successful candidate will lead and provide support to drive results, implement changes, and track the impacts of various initiatives. A key component of success in this role is to promote initiative transparency and guide the engagement of all stakeholders throughout the process.
