Degree and area of specialization:

Minimum MA/MS with specialty in English, communications, science, or engineering.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

- At least 7 years experience and a proven record of success in writing and editing research papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
- At least 7 years experience and a proven record of success writing and editing NIH grant applications.
- Experience supervising other staff member(s) and helping build a positive, kind, mission-driven work culture.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely, with minimal jargon.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of relevant requirements of HIPAA, IRB, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Superior accuracy and attention to detail, balanced by the ability to set and act on priorities.
- Facility handling multiple projects simultaneously.

License or Certificate:

Position Summary:

The Senior Writer/Editor will be a member of the University of Wisconsin Implementation Research Lab team. This person will work closely with the head of the lab and others to develop and draft grant applications and reports of research results published in peer-reviewed journals. The main subject of the research is implementation science.

- Cooperative spirit in working as part of a team.

Position FTE is negotiable between 80 and 100%.

The position is an ongoing renewable appointment if funding is secured.
