Degree and area of specialization:
Master's degree in the biological sciences or related field is required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years of post-graduate experience working in a biomedical research laboratory is required. Strong research experience in the following areas is highly desired: mammalian cell culture, iPSC culture, molecular biology techniques, membrane protein purification and Western blotting. Additional consideration will be given to applicants with skills in electrophysiology. A history of writing scientific publications is desired. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.

Position Summary:
The Czajkowski lab is seeking a highly motivated person who is excited about science to play an integral part in furthering our research in the structure, function and dynamics of ligand-gated ion channels. Successful applicants should be able to work independently and as part of a team, learn new techniques quickly and easily, and should be able to apply critical thinking to daily tasks. It is expected that the applicant will be able to contribute to writing of manuscripts and grant applications, contribute to laboratory maintenance and organization, and maintain laboratory records.
