Advertised Salary:

Minimum $42,167 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

Masters degree (PhD preferred) with a background in humanities, arts, interpretive social sciences, interdisciplinary studies, cultural studies, or related field. Applicants with a practical professional degree and advanced research in the humanities are also encouraged to apply.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in development, coordination, and promotion of public programs and events in the context of an academic institution, library, or museum in one of the humanities fields or visual, performing, or media arts. Experience working with high school teachers and students is preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping timeframes and deadlines; strong attention to detail. This position demands excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Public Humanities Program Manager manages and coordinates all public humanities programming at the Center for the Humanities, a national leader in public humanities programs and initiatives. Working closely with the Center Director, Associate Director, a graduate student Project Assistant, and other staff the Program Manager will:
