- At least 4 years of experience in a clinical research setting preferred.
- Experience in a medical, research, or educational setting desired.
- Professional experience with progressively increasing responsibility in academic programmatic and operations management preferred.

Position Summary:

The incumbent in this position will serve as the research manager and the research administrative contact for the Gleason Research Program. Carey Gleason, PhD, leads a research program focused on identifying modifiable risk factors for Alzheimer's disease in midlife, with an emphasis on under-represented groups (i.e., African Americans and Native Americans). With the growth in her diversified research program, Dr. Gleason is seeking to hire an administrative program specialist to coordinate her entire research portfolio. The incumbent will provide leadership to the research team, coordinate communication and other administrative functions with other offices, programs, sponsors and collaborators, and oversee research-related administrative operations within Dr. Gleason's program.

The incumbent will be expected to follow the policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards for excellence and professionalism established by the Department of Medicine, the School of Medicine and Public Health, and the University of Wisconsin. Additionally, this position will assure that all research activities adhere to Federal, State, and University policies, procedures, and requirements.

The incumbent must be effective at building interpersonal relationships with constructive interactions, be a clear and effective communicator, and promote and create collegial environments that value accountability.
