Job Summary:
The Payroll and Finance Specialist serves as a team member for central administrative offices on campus, defined as the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of the Provost, the Offices of the Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs, and where applicable, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for University Relations, as well as other units that report through one of the central offices. This position provides primary payroll support for these units as well as financial and human resources assistance to the Budget and Finance Manager and the Human Resources Manager. In addition, this position will provide some administrative support for each unit.
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, process payroll for 30 University Staff, 100+ Student Hourly, 155 Academic Staff and Limited, and several Graduate Assistant employees from a diverse group of departments within our division. Serve as a departmental E-Reimbursement approver, process financial paperwork, and serve as a backup purchasing card site manager. This position works closely with the Bascom Business Services team.
