Minimum $36,790 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:
BS required, Masters preferred in Environmental Sciences, Restoration biology, Conservation Biology, or a closely related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Two years relevant experience is required. This individual must be familiar with:
1. Invasive species biology management and monitoring
2. Volunteer program development and management
3. Outreach/extension activities including oral presentations and developing written educational materials

License or Certificate:


Position Summary:
This position will primarily be responsible for coordinating the development and delivery of educational information for Wisconsin's First Detectors Network (http://fyi.uwex.edu/wifdn/) and managing volunteers in this program. The Wisconsin First Detector Network (WIFDN) is a citizen science network that empowers people to take action against invasive species through invasive species monitoring, management, and outreach

The position will also assist with extension projects conducted by Dr. Mark Renz.

Additional Information:
Title prefix is dependent on relevant work experience.

Individual must be able to obtain a valid Wisconsin Driver's license and be able to conduct work outside under adverse conditions. Field activities may involve lifting equipment/material in excess of 50 lbs.
