Degree and area of specialization:

Master's degree required in Public Health or a related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

REQUIRED
More than 6 years of experience :
- Working experience in health care setting
- Building diverse partinerships across academic, public health, and community settings
- Applying community engagement strategies to address root causes of health inequities
- Managing program grants
- Effective oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED
- Project management experience preferred.

Position Summary:

This Outreach Manager position is within the Office of Community Health (OCH) which is in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. The Outreach Manager provides leadership management and coordination for the OCH, which was created in 2015. OCH promotes and enhances community health-related efforts in education, research and clinical services. These initiatives are dynamic, flexible, and responsive to departmental needs and resources. This person will collaborate with key stakeholders including community organizations, DFMCH faculty, learners and staff, academic partners, and health system partners.

Additional Information:

There is an expectation that the incumbent will be driving to meet with community organizations in support of local efforts; an ability to provide own transportation or qualify for car fleet rental with valid driver's license is required. Reimbursement for travel is available.
