MEDICAL DIRECTOR, CARDIOVASCULAR IMAGING


Position Summary:
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, seeks applications for BC/BE cardiologists to join a dynamic academic program, with opportunities to create a unique clinical practice and engage in teaching and clinical research at a world-class university.

Principal Duties:
This position will provide leadership for multi-modality imaging physicians and fellows and will also be responsible for continued collaboration with other UW Health departments and sub-specialties in Cardiovascular Medicine. This position will participate on the inpatient service at UW Health Locations. Clinical services will include UW Health ambulatory locations. Specific clinical
assignments will be adjusted based on the selected candidates appointment track (CHS or CT).

This position will also provide oversight to fellows in the general cardiology program related to imaging training. Teaching responsibilities for this position include medical students and residents within the context of the individuals clinical practice. Also included is interaction with Fellows in general cardiology.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
MD or DO required

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in internal medicine and cardiology, with level III training in CT and MRI; Advanced training in nuclear cardiology and/or echocardiography is desirable

License or Certificate:
Eligible for Wisconsin Medical License
