Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree required (most relevant academic fields include marketing, advertising, English, communication arts, or related fields).

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
- Three years of marketing/advertising copywriting experience, including, but not limited to, social media, mass-market emails, enrollment and lead generation marketing, websites or print.
- Experience researching and synthesizing complex ideas to produce revenue generating marketing copy.

- Experience writing and editing material in a variety of styles (e.g., marketing and recruiting copy, social media posts, etc.).
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently under tight deadlines and high volume
- Proven experience handling multiple priorities in a detail-oriented environment and contributing to the success of the entire team in meeting enrollment and other metrics
- Proven ability to work with diverse internal and external audiences.

Position Summary:
The Division of Continuing Studies supports the University of Wisconsin-Madison mission and the spirit of the Wisconsin Idea by advocating for and engaging lifelong learners. The Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) Team advances the Division mission and enriches the UW-Madison brand through the deployment of sophisticated marketing and communications strategies that enable and encourage enrollment of adult and nontraditional audiences at UW-Madison.
The Marketing and Recruitment Copywriter will collaborate with a cross-functional marketing and recruiting team to develop written and multimedia content to support aligned marketing and recruiting campaigns designed to significantly increase enrollment in the Advance Your Career (AYC) portfolio of nontraditional programs (advanceyourcareer.wisc.edu).
As a member of the Integrated Marketing Communications team, this person researches, writes, and lays out a wide variety of marketing and recruiting content, including drip and nurture email campaigns, landing pages, brochures, and social media posts. This position may also contribute to public relations and internal communication efforts and to developing compelling stories about transformative programs and successful students.
