Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Previous building maintenance experience is preferred. Highly qualified applicants will possess: Knowledge of mechanical principles, equipment and tools , methods, techniques and terminology used in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the mechanical systems of complex commercial buildings; Ability to plan, prioritize, schedule and supervise multiple jobs; Knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC systems, their controls, treatment, care and operation; pneumatic control systems; hot water heating systems; water testing and water treatment procedures.

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Mechanic Shop Manager, this position is responsible for planning, directing, and
executing the maintenance programs through the supervision of Maintenance Mechanic Shop personnel and contract services
on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment on the UW Madison Campus.
