Job Summary:

This position provides a variety of information systems support for the department of Medical Physics under the limited supervision of the department's IS Technical Supervisor and Administrator. This position will focus primarily on the following projects: 1) building databases for the department to organize information on current graduate students and alumni, necessary to maintain the department's accreditation and institutional training grant; 2) providing desktop support to faculty, staff and students pending the possible integration of the department into the UW Hospital's computer support system; 3) continuing the development and refinement of the department's web site. Qualifications include training and experience in common office software suites including word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and scheduling, and publishing programs; and significant experience in active database development and web design and implementation.

Schedule Comment:

The position is expected to be hired at 80% FTE, but may be flexible between 60-100% FTE depending on the needs of the department and the selected candidate. The exact work schedule will be set upon hire.
