Job Summary:

The Bursar's Office is responsible for the billing, collection, posting and accounting for tuition payments, scholarships, and numerous fees for the UW-Madison campus students. These payments are in the form of paper checks, eChecks, ACH payments, international wires, and uploaded data files. The total collected exceeds $330 million annually and is posted to over 40,000 student tuition accounts. In addition, the office processes more than $350 million in financial aid and third party payments and approximately $120 million in waivers.
This professional-level position will provide technical and functional support for business processes under leadership of functional/technical lead in the IT support unit of the Bursar's Office. This position assists the IT Support unit with maintaining, troubleshooting, and development of SIS (PeopleSoft: Campus Solution) as it pertains to Bursar's Office processing. The incumbent will provide technical support by troubleshooting and resolving office system issues with a focus on the campus student financial information. This position will also assist with the daily imports of electronic files from departments to Student financial tables for Third Party and Remission Process. In addition, this position will support multiple projects to bring new technologies and services.
The individual in this role is expected to be a creative problem solver and process improver, and is required to have strong analytical and technical skills combined with excellent communication skills.
