Job Summary:
This position will provide programmatic support to the Health Sciences Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) Office. The incumbent is expected to utilize a considerable amount of independent initiative and judgment, exercising a high level of administrative problem solving and analytic ability. Key duties include IRB member and meeting support and administrative support for the HS IRBs Office. The incumbent will interact with many administrative departments in the School of Medicine and Public Health as well as other institutions with whom the office has joint projects and initiatives. This position will receive general guidance from the IRB Office Director and is expected to independently develop and maintain procedures and support the responsibilities outlined below. The position involves completing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and frequent shifts in workflow on a daily to weekly basis. Responsibilities of this position are performed independently.

Typing

Additional Requirements:
Required:
- Two years experience working in complex administrative organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
- One year experience of scheduling and managing calendars of multiple personnel.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with time sensitive deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred:
- Experience working in Higher Education or an Academic setting
- Familiar with UW systems and operations

Schedule Comment:
Our standard hours are 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. The exact schedule can be flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.

Looking to hire individual between 60% - 100% FTE.
