Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree(s) preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Candidates must have familiarity with the UW-Madison campus and an employment record demonstrating increasing responsibility and capacity to plan and manage large-scale events.

Excellent initiative, ability to work independently, and ability to lead a cross-functional team required, together with strong verbal, writing and editing skills and attention to detail. Experience working with volunteers preferred. Strong customer service skills required.

Position Summary:

This position serves as the primary lead for Commencement planning and associated events, as well as serving on committees planning large scale campus events such as convocation and Go Big Read.

Additional Information:

This is a short term position and will end 6 months after the start date. This position has the option to become renewable depending on funding and program direction.
