Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Degree in computer sciences, educational technology, computer engineering or related field preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

At least one year of experience working with computer hardware and software applications required. Prior experience working in higher education supporting teaching and research is preferred.

Position Summary:

The Department of Integrative Biology seeks an IT Specialist responsible for providing technical support for personal computers and application software used by the department as well as providing consultation and support on learning technology tools and practices. This position interacts directly with faculty and staff throughout the department, providing a variety of just-in-time and in-depth face-to-face interactions. This position reports directly to the department manager. The incumbent will work as part of a team, communicating with customers, identifying requirements, and delivering technical solutions.
