Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:
Masters degree required. Master's degree in bacteriology, biology, microbiology, molecular biology, or related science is preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
- Experience in presentation of data and preparation of manuscripts is required.
- Two years of relevant research experience is required.
- Experience in bacteriology, pharmacology, biochemistry, and/or molecular microbiology is preferred.
- Certification as a technologist in microbiology (MT) is preferred.

Position Summary:
The Researcher will provide technical expertise to perform experiments focused on antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, phenotypes, and therapy. The research will be carried out using infectious disease procedures in bacterial morphology, epidemiology, and molecular microbiological techniques. The Researcher will assist the PI (Dr. Nasia Safdar) in the development of designing experiments, new research techniques, organizing/reporting results, and troubleshooting experimental obstacles.
