Position Summary:
The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) provides information technology services to UW-Madison, all UW campuses, and the UW System and other agencies. DoIT employs approximately 900 employees including highly technical IT staff, management, administrative support and students. The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) Human Resources is a model for human resources and excellence at UW-Madison. The Human Resources Assistant provides payroll and benefits, HR administrative, and workforce relations support within DoIT. This position works closely with the HR Team providing a variety of services in support of the management and staff of the division.

The Required Qualifications are:
* Experience handling confidential information and resolving complex issues.
* 1 year of demonstrated experience providing customer-centered solutions, support or service OR equivalent training.
* Technical proficiency and expertise with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with cloud based office tools such as Google Docs.
* Ability to apply organizational and time management techniques in order to provide effective and timely solutions.
* Experience demonstrating continuous improvement and collaboration in the workplace.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to relate complex information to a diverse audience.
