Job Summary:

This position provides comprehensive administrative program support to the Director, Associate Director, Administrator, and public health and clinical team of the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute (WAI). This position provides complex, independent administrative support in the development and maintenance of program and training materials, grant preparation, educational programs, databases, administrative and operational systems, and biosketches and other support pages, and performs administrative duties to meet WAI goals.

Work is performed under the general direction of the WAI Director, Associate Director and the WAI Administrator. This position requires excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as considerable independence in planning and implementation. This position also requires the ability to deal with the diverse elements of the academic and health care environments, and the willingness and ability to manage competing priorities.


Requirements:

Proficiency in meeting scheduling and calendar management using web-based scheduling systems is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Must have the ability to learn new computer software.

At least 2 years of experience providing administrative support to professional and/or executive level employees is required, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including verbal and written communication, proofreading, project management, organization, problem solving and various computer software applications are required.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to follow through and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner preferred.

Experience and/or interest in contributing to campus diversity efforts is preferred.

Knowledge and experience with working in the University setting highly desired.

Schedule Comment:

Monday-Friday some flexibility between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm to meet the needs of WAI.
