Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Required
* At least two years of successful experience in project/program evaluation.
* Demonstrated training, knowledge and practice in evaluation theory, methods, design, and implementation.
* Knowledge about informal science education evaluation in K12 and postsecondary institutions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams on evaluation projects.
* Ability to work autonomously and with initiative.
* Ability to develop and maintain productive client relationships.
* Experience in mixed methods evaluation.
Preferred
* Experience working as an educator or mentor in K12 educational settings
* Bilingual

Position Summary:
This position is housed in the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) within two evaluation centers - the Wisconsin Evaluation Collaborative (WEC) and the Learning through Evaluation, Adaption, and Dissemination (LEAD) Center. Specifically, this position would be supervised by staff at WEC and the LEAD Center with regular interaction and guidance from the WARF and Morgridge Institute for Research outreach staff at the Discovery building (i.e., the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery). This position entails conducting evaluation about informal science education programming (inclusive of participants and program providers of informal science programs), as well as training and supporting faculty and researchers in evaluating their own informal science education initiatives (50%). Additionally, the person will be responsible for the evaluation of an NSF-funded project (AISL), and working within WCER as a professional evaluator (5%).
