Position Summary:
The Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin - Madison invites applications for a director of communications position. The director of communications, working with the faculty, will be responsible for promoting Physics Department research, teaching, and outreach accomplishments using various forms of communication.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
Master's degree in science related field required.
Ph.D. in physics or related field preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience working in a research setting, two years preferred.
Demonstrated experience with science communication is required (writing/media sample required).
Experience using web content development tools and willingness to learn new communication technologies.
