Job Summary:
The Conference Coordinator for the Distance Teaching & Learning (DT&L) Conference in the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) works closely with the DT&L Conference staff, conference and campus stakeholders, and external vendors to assist with promoting, planning, and executing the annual event. This includes coordination of event space(s) and logistics, catering arrangements, registration, vendors and exhibition space/services, volunteers, transportation, development of attendee and marketing materials, and other duties as assigned within established university policy and guidelines.

Additionally, the position serves as marketing liaison and lead social media coordinator for all distance education programs within LDDI. The position works under the general supervision of the Conference Manager.

The position requires management of multiple priorities, very strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent customer service, independent judgment, and sound decision-making. A broad set of competencies is preferred: event support and coordination, financial reporting, effective written and oral communication, time management and computer proficiency.

Schedule Comment:
7:45-4:30, Monday through Friday or as assigned to meet the needs of the Division. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

This is a two year appointment, but may become on-going in the future if funding permits
